After spending the better part of the last eighteen years living on Shenandoah Shores Road on the banks of the Shenandoah River in Front Royal, Virginia, and coming to love the song of the same name, I have gone ahead and called our little blog "Oh, Shenandoah!". And hopefully, someday, I'll figure out how to get Joseph's rendition posted. It is remarkable. My sister-in-laws all inspire me in different ways, and Jill has been the inspiration for this. Her blog is such a delight for me (and I live nearby!) and my parents love having a window on their lives. So I thought I would give it a go and see if I can create as idyllic a life and she has for everyone to see. I may even try to knit.

Of course, this is really all about our boys and a chance to have some of our memories with them recorded. I am hoping for it to be a chance to have a sense of humor about the many challenges a mother faces throughout the day. Instead of shouting at my kids for their many misadventures, I will simply try to capture it on film and make light of the whole thing. For, afterall, these are the best of times, and should be remembered as such.

I'm off now to take advantage of Baby Mark's nap and get a few pages of "At the Back of the North Wind" by George MacDonald read before tomorrows Book Group. I'm on Chapter 6. Only 32 more to go. No problem.
